Rethinking success, finding joy, and building meaningful connections.
Books to spark a conversation about what matters.
Join us to explore fresh perspectives on thriving today, finding joy, redefining success, and building meaningful connections.
We explore the ideas, question the advice, and consider what actually fits our lives.
Free and open to everyone. Reading is always optional.
This Month’s Featured Book
Four Thousand Weeks, by Oliver Burkeman
Life is short. Quantifiably, absurdly short. And the time hacks we’ve been taught just aren’t working.

How Book Club Works
-
Each month, we choose a book that speaks to the questions we love to explore here at ELMM: What is balance? How can I feel more fulfilled? How can we build a more equitable future? What small change can I make right now?
Some are New York Times bestsellers. Some come from independent publishers. Occasionally, we mix in fiction to spark a different perspective.
-
On the last or second to last Thursday of each month (holiday dependent), we explore the ideas, question the advice, and consider what actually fits our lives. Bring your experiences, your curiosity, and whatever is on your mind for this 45-minute conversation.
-
Anyone curious about these questions and interested in exploring them with others. Bring your experiences, an open mind, and a willingness to hear different perspectives. Come on your own or invite a friend.
-
Nope! Each month, we create a one-page cheat sheet with key ideas and questions to get us talking. Read the whole book, skim a few pages, or just come with the cheat sheet. Your perspective matters either way.
-
It’s free, and no membership is needed. Fill out the form above to RSVP and receive this month’s featured book’s cheat sheet and meeting link in your inbox. And you’re set. We’d love to see you there.
